The Official Adventures in Odyssey Podcast

Hosted By:
Bob Smithouser & Jesse Florea

December 5, 2018: Writers Bob Smithouser (!) and Phil Lollar (plus surprise guest) dive deep into “Out to Sea.”

Out to Sea

Three years ago, Bob Smithouser didn’t want to make waves when his boss Dave Arnold asked him to write an Odyssey script, but he felt like a fish out of water. He was green around the gills in the ways of script-writing and it was sink or swim. Over the long voyage of writing the script, Bob weathered the storm to get to final draft with the help of Phil Lollar and others to keep things on course. Don’t rock the boat as we hear the story of how that happened!

Adventures in Odyssey Club Christmas Cards

In 2015, young fans submitted drawings of Adventures in Odyssey characters within a Christmas scene. The Focus on the Family team selected some of our favorite designs for a unique package of festive cards and envelopes. Blank inside, you have flexibility to pass along Christmas greetings or say thank you for a holiday gift.

Commenting Guidelines for the Adventures in Odyssey Podcast

Thank you for your interest in Adventures in Odyssey! This page allows Adventures in Odyssey fans of all ages to give their thoughts on the podcast and the show. We welcome your comments and ask that you read and follow the guidelines to keep this page safe.

Think about the language that’s used by characters on Adventures in Odyssey. If Whit or Connie wouldn’t say it, please don’t write it.Constructive criticism or negative comments are fine, but mean comments aren’t. Again, think about how Whit would address a problem as opposed to Rodney Rathbone.

  • Due to the number of comments we receive, we can’t respond personally to questions submitted here. If you would like a personal response, please e-mail [email protected] Additionally, please keep comments to the restricted length of 500 characters or less.

  • Please do not post under multiple usernames. This leads to confusion.

  • We love to hear personal stories from fans. However, this is not the place to submit your own fictional stories or to pretend to be a fictional character. Though we are sure that they are very creative, an Adventures in Odyssey comment board isn’t the best place to share your narratives.

  • Although we love it when our club members are reading, sharing, and discussing the Scriptures, we ask that you please refrain from individual-led Bible studies. This helps avoid the possibility of Scripture misinterpretation and debates over theology issues that can be divisive in our club.

  • Please don’t comment in foreign languages or secret codes. We love the diversity and creativity of the AIO Club Community, but our moderators are unable to clearly distinguish the content of these messages.

  • Don’t post any copyrighted material, such as song lyrics or book passages.
