Eugene is Whit’s dependable, eccentric genius of an assistant. Whether he’s working at Whit’s End, teaching at Campbell College, or developing another big invention, Eugene knows everything about everything (or thinks he does).
Eugene is Whit’s dependable, eccentric genius of an assistant. Whether he’s manning the ice cream parlor at Whit’s End, teaching at Campbell College, or at the controls of Whit’s latest techno-contraption, Eugene seems to know everything there is to know about history, geography, biology, physics, computer science and…well, the list goes on and on, and so does Eugene! He is very straightforward in his intelligence and, for a time, approached everything with an impeccable logic and no appreciation of faith. Eventually, after a series of personally heart-wrenching experiences, he accepted Christ as his Savior. Eugene is married to the former Katrina Shanks. The two live in Odyssey and have a foster son named Buck Oliver.
